    Bay State Milling reopens a 12,000-cwt modern milling facility in Clifton, NJ.

  • 1995

    Indiantown, FL mill is doubled in size to support new growth.

  • 1997

    Winona, MN mill undergoes a major modernization and is expanded by 25%.

  • 1998

    Milling capacity is doubled at Moorseville, NC and Tolleson, AZ.

  • 1999

    Bay State Milling Company celebrates its 100th anniversary.

    Bay State Milling creates a joint venture, Rocky Mountain Milling in Platteville, CO.

    Bay State enters the dry blending business and secures its first major mix customer.

  • 2006

    Bay State Milling develops GrainEssentials White Whole Wheat Extra Fine flour.

    Bay State extends its blending capabilities to the East Coast.

    Bay State Milling acquires additional interest in Rocky Mountain Milling, LLC, resulting in a majority ownership of the Platteville,CO facility.

    Bay State Milling Company expands its dry blending capabilities by acquiring Premier Blending in Wichita, KS.

    Organic flour milling capabilities and organic certification extended to Winona, MN and Mooresville, NC.

    Bay State Milling Company enters the gluten-free marketplace with a dedicated production area in Wichita, KS.

    Brian G. Rothwell named Chief Executive Officer; Pete F. Levangie named President and Chief Operating Officer.

  • 2010

    Bay State Milling completes purchase of Rocky Mountain Milling, LLC, becoming largest miller of organic flour in U.S.

    The Nutrition Science Advisory Council (NSAC) is created in support of Bay State’s goal to provide healthy grain-based food ingredients.

    Bay State Milling Company opens The Rothwell GrainEssentials Center, a 4,000 sq. ft. innovation and applications center in Quincy, MA, dedicated to Bernard J. Rothwell, 2nd.

    Capabilities are expanded in Winona, MN, to include identity preservation along with the milling of a broader variety of grain types and granulations.

    Bay State Milling Company acquires T.J. Harkins, Inc. and Subsidiaries, a leading supplier of grains, edible seeds, specialty flours and organic ingredients.

  • 2013

    Bay State Milling Company acquires Certified Foods, Inc., of Woodland, California, a supplier of conventional, organic and gluten-free whole milled flours.

  • 2014

    Bay State Milling Company introduces a new corporate logo and tagline, A Trusted Family of Ingredients, to symbolize the Company’s continuing commitment to provide a reliable supply chain of plant-based ingredients for the grain-based foods market.

  • 2015

    Bay State Milling Company expands into seed varietal development with the launch of 5th Generation Seed, LLC, focused on the development of new varieties of wheat and seed germplasm.

  • 2016

    Peter F. Levangie is named Chief Executive Officer and President, Brian Rothwell becomes Vice Chair and Head of Business Development.

  • 2017

    Bay State Milling Company acquires CleanDirt Farm, a market-leading organic and conventional millet sourcing and processing operation in Sterling, CO.

    Bay State Milling Company becomes the exclusive North American licensee of HealthSense™ high fiber wheat flour, derived from conventionally bred, non-GMO high amylose wheat grown, offering the combined benefits of wheat flour functionality, a highly desired macronutrient, and traceability to the farm in one ingredient.

    Bay State Milling Company acquires a stake in MGM Seed & Grain of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, providing a secure supply chain of gluten free oats through a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility and established grower network.

    Bay State Milling introduces SimplySafe heat treatment pathogen reduction for whole grain and seeds used in ready-to-eat food products.

    Bay State Milling expands the capabilities of the Rothwell GrainEssentials Center to include a fiber lab and bake lab in support of the Company’s extension into varietal development and unique, plant-based ingredients.

    Bay State Milling releases the initial annual report of its Partner Sourced Ingredients program which is built on direct supplier relationships to ensure a traceable, consistent and uninterrupted supply of safe, quality plant-based ingredients.

    Bay State Milling grows both the Bolingbrook, IL and Woodland, CA facilities to include expanded capabilities in support of its developing Mini-Milling & Blending customer base.
