Adam Roberts,

Company leaders, employees and customers gathered in our brand new Woodland, California facility on June 13. The new location allows for more storage and enhanced capabilities.

Bay State Milling has operated in Woodland since it acquired Certified Foods, Inc. in 2013. Last year, the company moved operations to a larger facility in town. With more floor space, the new building features increased storage including dedicated areas for gluten-free and organic plant-based ingredients.

SimplySafe™ heat treatment, which delivers a validated 5-log reduction on relevant pathogens, now resides in a dedicated clean room. The clean room incorporates filtered air, positive air and dedicated equipment which can be accessed by a limited number of specially-trained associates to minimize the risk of product contamination. These features are critical to provide an essential layer of safety for ingredients used in products such as cold-pressed bars, overnight oats and ready-to-eat foods processed without a kill-step.

Woodland is now home to our cinnamon milling operation, which previously took place in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The relocation created an updated process and improved logistics.

The investment in Woodland will move our Partner Sourced Ingredients™ program as well as innovative new ingredients like SowNaked™ oats forward, as we strive to better serve our west coast customers.
