Darrel Nelson is responsible for developing and implementing quality and process improvements for new and existing products. Based in Winona, Minnesota, Mr. Nelson assists in the commercialization process, ensuring safety and quality from the bench to production. Prior to accepting the Commercial Process Scientist position in 2017, Mr. Nelson served as Bay State Milling Company’s Technical Baker for six years. He attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. He is a certified baker through AIB. He is also a member of AOAC, AACCI and the Bread Bakers Guild of America.
