The booth has been shipped, the plane tickets have been booked and the excitement is peaking. The time for Natural Products Expo West and Engredea 2018 is upon us. Bay State Milling is excited to once again exhibit at the 37th annual expo. Our team will be among the 3,100 exhibitors and more than 80,000 attendees.
We’ll be on the show floor March 9 to 11 to discuss our wide range of plant-based ingredients. This year, we’re highlighting our BeneGrain® line of sprouted ingredients, HealthSense™ High Fiber Wheat Flour, Nexty Award-Finalist SowNaked™ Oats and so much more.
The experience of gathering with so many industry professionals at a show like Natural Product Expo West is irreplaceable. With the positive vibes and a chance to meet our customers, Expo West has earned its reputation as the premier natural products show.
“There’s great energy around the show and it’s a really good opportunity to see a lot of our customers in one place and what new products they’re launching or featuring, especially when they include ingredients from Bay State Milling,” said Courtney Christie, National Account Manager, who has attended four Natural Products Expos.
Michael Buscaino, Bay State Milling’s Director of Emerging Business, is also preparing for his fifth Expo. He looks forward to the show for similar reasons.
“One, I love connecting with customers to discuss their business, review new opportunities and any challenges they are facing. Secondly, I appreciate all of the new products and product applications that you are able to see at Expo,” said Buscaino.
For Katie Harris, Product Development & Nutrition Scientist, the event is also a chance to make new connections.
“I have never been to Expo West before so I am really excited to walk the show, meet new people, and hear about all of the new products. I’m looking forward to seeing and trying all of the new ingredients and products,” said Harris. “I am looking forward to making new connections with people I wouldn’t normally work with. Connecting with people from other companies who work in Marketing and Sales isn’t something I get to do often, and I always enjoy the conversations and insights!”
Like Harris, Harold Ward will be attending his first Natural Products Expo this March.
“I’ve heard and read so much about the Expo. I’m looking forward to seeing how it stacks up against that buzz,” said Ward, Bay State’s Director of Technical Service and Product Applications. “I’m really excited about the opportunity to interact with people that are exploring new ingredients and concepts.”
The show, with what feels at time like an endless lineup of exhibitors, is a superior event for trend spotting. Attendees can see what’s hot from walking the show floor and through the Nexty Awards, which highlights 22 categories of up-and-coming products.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what the trends in natural foods this year,” said Christie. “I am especially looking forward to SowNaked™ Oats being a Nexty Award Finalist.”
Business Development Manager Kathy Kupinska has been to 11 Natural Products Expos. She also keeps an eye on the trends and views the event as a showcase of the industry.
“It really gives you insight into new food trends and there are a lot of good opportunities for networking. It’s also a show that really motivates me and makes me happy to work in the natural food industry,” Kupinska said. “It also makes you realize how lucky we are working in the natural food industry to see all that is happening with people trying to change the way big food operates.”
